Recruiting Police Officers

After an emotional week helping my brother with the death of his little girl I headed to WPPI and WOW was it good. I will post on it later....but I wanted to post these pics of a groom I shot in North Carolina almost two weeks ago. I did both bridal and groom portraits...but I promised not to post any of those so they wouldn't see each other. But after he took off the tux he asked if I could do a photo of him in his police officer's uniform. I happily obliged and had such a great time. I love finding places like we found where it's in the middle of nowhere.

I'm sure glad I know him....because being out that late with him being so built....some of the shots were looking like I was taking pictures of the Terminator....and it was freaking me out a little. He got a kick out of it and it was a great shoot. Let me know what you think!

Allie's Sunrise

The pictures below are of the most humbling and important photo shoots I have ever done. My brother Kevin called me last Saturday to ask if I could come to Utah and do a photo shoot with his family before his baby girl Allie passed away. I left immediately from Phoenix where I was doing a photo shoot and drove straight to Salt Lake City. We met Sunday night at the temple in Salt Lake City where we did the photo shoot with his wife Kristen and son Isaac.

It was truly one of the neatest moments of my life being able to capture this last moment the family had to share together before Allie joined her Heavenly Father. We stayed up in Utah and on Tuesday morning I woke up early and drove to a Nature Reserve, laid in the ice and snow and captured this shot with the intention of naming the picture "Allie's Sunrise." Allie died 5 hours later in her Father's arms and I feel blessed to have been a part of her young and precious life. I will never forget her and it makes me squeeze my sons even tighter when I hug them. We never know what will happen in life so take advantage of every moment you have.

Jobyna's on Lifetime

I'm sorry it's been so long since a post. Things have been moving so fast it's hard to believe. I just did this model shoot at a beautiful bridal shop named Jobynas in Los Angeles. The pictures were taken for a spot that will be running on Lifetime TV for http://www.getmarried.com/. The shoot was so much fun and the model Katia was fantastic. I shot the entire shoot with a 50mm 1.4 with the lights off in the shop so we could bring out the natural light.

It was so much fun and I can't thank Jobynas, getmarried.com, and Lifetime TV enough for the opportunity. We are still picking the images that will be shown on TV so let us know which ones you like the most!
