Landscape Wedding Photography

I have 4 photographers that work for me....and each wedding i challenge them to find at least 5 new shots., No matter how many weddings we shoot, it's the photographer's responsibility go find somthing new and unique that sets that wedding apart from other weddings. Having started the first 15 years of my career shooting landscaphe photography, I thought it would be really neat to always take some landscape shots....and the client love them.

One more note. below is a picture of the groom where we caught a great shot of him blowing all the smoke out into the air. It really looks pretty cool...more to come later.

5 new shots, eh? I think if we shoot together in Pittsburgh, I can pull that easy. I mean, a tavern has got to allow for some crazy, sick shots for a wedding.

Consider that my throwing a gauntlet down to myself!

HAH! All the sudden my photographers are coming out of the woodwork! Leslie comments are a play on words....because when I was taking this shot she was running around the field taking shots, with her flash firing which was showing up in my photo! So I very politely asked, "Leslie, what are you doing? Really having no idea what she could get a picture of with her flash....

And now Heath is throwing down gauntlets???? I'm sending you to LA to shoot that day my friend...your gauntlet is with Don. HAVE FUN!!!!!!

After about ten times checking this to see if Heath fired back yet I realize you spelled landscape wrong in your blog! :) Just thought I would point that out.. then again.. there is NO telling what grammatical errors I had in mine!

I am loving the little play on words with "fired back". While I would like to say that I have skill enough to fully throw the gauntlet and mean it, I am going to play the more level-headed card in realizing that my skills are still in their very nascent stage of development. However, the challenge to get at least 5 unique shots per wedding provides the needed motivation to really further hone this wonderful craft.

Be careful Leslie.....Heath can really throw it down!!!

I must say that although I LOL'd, (please tell me that you aren't so behind the times Heath, as Jason is, to know what that means!) that you are absolutely correct!

Well, I am not too far behind Jason. We old guys have to stick together!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!This is coming from the girl who jogs with a tape deck Walkman!!! When I asked her if she had an Ipod she asked, "What is that?" There are more people in the world who have Ipods than people who text...because even old people have Ipods. Leslie, PLEASE get with the times....it's difficult when us old people (32 years old) have to explain stuff to the young. Leslie, when do you turn 18?

Heath Orrell said...

Tape deck walkman, eh? Wow! Well, since we old guys (31 years old here) are dispensing technology advice, here's a little from me (I will try to put this in the hip lingo of the youngsters out there): Yo, peep this - did you know, Leslie, that a Blackberry isn't just a pie filling anymore? It's true. It's a phone you can use to get email, ya dig?

Exagerate all you want Jason! No point in wasting money one something I wouldn't have used until now!:) But, it is on my wishlist for Christmas! Maybe your wishlist should include texting, Dawg! See you soon!

Texting is going the way of the Dodo. Here is Arizona there is a pilot program with state police agencies to ticket motorists who are found to be texting while driving. My question is, how can they see that? Most people don't hold the phone up when texting while driving, which makes it even more unsafe! LOL!!

Thank you Jason. You have touched my daughter's life in ways she never imagined.

I have watched her grow under your tutelage and it is reflected in her work.

I absolutely know she will continue to make you proud to have her on your team.

Got any weddings in San Antonio? Mom wants to make sure you're not some crazy guy. *wink*

Heath, THANK GOODNESS I don't live in Arizona! I would be in jail for tickets! I go through about a 1000 a month. I know.. it's insane!

You must be super fast on the keypad... my sister-in-law is wicked fast. It is really not natural how fast she can text on such a tiny device. Gosh, I am old.

Maybe this will cheer you up.. "Age".. is just a number! But.. that just means you have to find another excuse!
